24 Hour Bridge Class for Medical Assistants and home care aids
Class on HOLD During Covid-19 Restrictions.
Northwest NAC Training is now offering classes for Medical Assistants and home care aids looking to get their Nursing Assistant Certification. Medical Assistants and home care aids will enter this 24-hour bridge program to become a CNA. Total credits for this class is 24 hours, although class duration is three weeks. Regular CNA & 24 hour Bridge Class is taught DAY class only same start dates as the regular CNA class (No Night class currently).
This program is much shorter than the usual 120-hour training a CNA needs for certification because medical assistants already have much of the training. Northwest NAC Training offers this program as a day class only. The program is offered in conjunction with our CNA day classes. Please consult our class schedule for dates and times.
While an MA is trained and certified for clinic work, such as administering shots or handling paperwork, certified nursing assistants handle more of the day-to-day personal care of a patients as do home care aids. This class is beneficial for an MA looking to expand their health care provider experience.
This bridge program will cover what an MA and HCA needs to handle personal care situations. For example, if a patient has an accident or falls down, this program will teach bridge students to handle how to handle patients safely and efficiently.
